Awork-around. Set the camera to "Pro". Set the ratio to 0.6. Zoom from there. Disappointing for users who bought the camera new, but I bought second-hand so can't complain. If you're going to have an extended period of snapping, keep the app open in the background. When you close the app, it will return to "Photo".
Zenfone9 RhinoShield Screenprotector is Garbage. Just posting this as a warning that the Rhinoshield screenprotector advertised by ASUS for the Zenfone 9 is terrible.
